Jamie Dunne, born in 1978 is a contemporary Irish Artist of this generation. He developed his craft at an early age, with the guidance of his late father Davy Dunne. Jamie hung and sold his first picture on the railings of Stephen’s Green at the age of 12. Now almost 20 years on Jamie continues to exhibit on the railings of Stephens Green three times annually.

Jamie recalls his most cherished exhibition being “Reflection of a Father and Son” in The Mill in Celbridge in June 2005.

In his late teens Jamie studied Animation in Ballyfermot Senior College, Dublin. Jamie has been a member of the Ana Liffey Art Group for over 15 years, a Kildare based Art Group which hosts a wonderful Annual Winter Exhibition.

Jamie specialises in Contemporary Dublin Street Scenes and is best known for his stylised interpretation of such well known land marks as The Ha’Penny Bridge, The Dublin Spire , The GPO and Molly Malone Statue. Jamie has a unique style to his work; contemporary, vibrant and colourful and unique are some the ways his work has been described, Jamie’s work draws much interest and he has had work commissioned nation wide and as far as the United States.

Jamie best work is always created in his Art Studio in Leixlip, an old wooden cabin which is steeped with character and fond memories which are inspirational to him.
