Larisa K. Bevillard is an Ennis based visual artist who has been drawing and painting since childhood and achieved a degree in Design and Marketing from the Art Institute of Boston and then went on to achieve a BA in Fine Arts from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Larisa continued with her education in Ireland and received a Diploma in Legal Studies from Griffith College Dublin in 2006.
In 2009 Larisa founded Arts in Ennis, which recently relocated to the Clare Training Resource Centre, Clon Road, Ennis, County Clare.
The school's primary aim is to teach appreciation of Fine Art and to make art instruction accessible to the local community and in particular to the children/youth of Ennis.
"Students are encouraged to master traditional techniques whilst learning the fundamentals of drawing, design, sculpture and colour theory. Use of and gaining knowledge of the various forms of media, Arts In Ennis seeks to encompass all aspects of art. Demonstrations are offered regularly , proper use of materials are carefully explained and a Renaissance inspired approach to Fine Art is promoted. The works of the Master Artists are often explored as we seek to further understand their methods, influences and genres. "
